April 2026=0D=0A&nbsp;=0D=0AWir laden ein zu einer Fahrt mit dem „Ur-Vulkan-Express“ durch das Brohltal. Wie vor 50 Jahren wird der Sonderzug aus der MaK-Diesellok D 4 und dem zum Gesellschaftswagen hergerichteten VB 50 bestehen. Die Lok D 4 ist ähnlich der ehem. DB-Baureihe V 52, wurde 1957 für die Alsen’schen Zementwerke gebaut, ging dann zur Auricher Kreisbahn und war zunächst von 1971 bis 1987 bei der Brohltalbahn. Die Lok wurde damals an die Rhätische Bahn verkauft, die sie unter der Nummer Gmf 4/4 241 bis vor etwa zwei Jahren einsetzte. Nun konnte die Lok von der Brohltalbahn wieder zurückgekauft werden und verkehrt wieder in ihrer elfenbein-grünen Lackierung. Der VB 50 wurde aus einem Triebwagen umgebaut, der 1925 von der DWK für die damals schmalspurige Vorgebirgsbahn gebaut wurde und 1937 zur Brohltalbahn kam.=0D=0A&nbsp;=0D=0ADie Abfahrt des Sonderzuges ist um 11:00 Uhr. Zunächst rangiert unser Zug in den Hafen von Brohl und bis zu den Rheinanlagen und wir machen dort einige Fotohalte. Im Anschluss fahren wir durch das romantische Brohl­tal, über Brücken und Tunnel immer tiefer in die vulkanisch geprägte Eifel. Fotohalte sind auf der gesamten Strecke vorgesehen. Das Ende der Fahrt ist spätestens für 17:00 vorgesehen. Getränke sind während der Fahrt erhältlich. Eine Erbsensuppe mit Würstchen kann zum Preis von € 12,00 hier vorbestellt werden. Der Teilnehmerpreis beträgt € 49,00, für DGEG-Mitglieder und Gleichgestellte € 46,00. Kinder und Jugendliche bis 18 Jahre zahlen € 25,00. Anmeldeschluss für diese Sonderfahrt ist der 27.03.2026, Teilnehmerzahlen: min. 30, max. 50 Personen. Stornierungen bis Anmeldeschluss kostenfrei. Bei späteren Absagen müssen wir auf Bezahlung des vollständigen Reisepreises bestehen. Bei be­triebsbedingtem Ausfall der D 4 behält sich DGEG Bahnreisen vor die Fahrt mit einer anderen einsatzbereite Diesellok, vorzugsweise mit der „Schmalspur-V 160“, der D 5, durchzuführen. Finanzielle Ansprüche aus einem verspäteten Fahrtende müssen wir aus­schließen. Ein- und Ausstiege bei Fotohalten erfol­gen auf eigene Gefahr.
