Abfahrt in Weitzelsdorf um 12:00 nach Ankunft der S-Bahn aus Klagenfurt. Für die Rückfahrt wird die S-Bahn dort um 16:00 erreicht. Bei Besichtigung des HISTORAMA wird die S-Bahn um 18:00 erreicht.=0D=0A=0D=0A&nbsp;=0D=0AABSCHIED VOM ROSENTAL=0D=0A12. Oktober 2025=0D=0A&nbsp;=0D=0AZum Jahreswechsel 2025/26 wird die Strecke von Weitzelsdorf nach Rosenbach stillgelegt. Die Strecke war ein ein Teilstück der „Neuen Alpenbahn“ von Linz nach Triest die Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts von der k.u.k. Monarchie erbaut wurde um einen zweiten Bahnanschluss für Triest zu erhalten. Die Bahn führte weiter durch den Karawankentunnel und die Wocheinerbahn. Der Endpunkt heißt heute Trieste Campo Marzio und ist der Ort des derzeit in Renovierung begriffenen Eisenbahnmuseums. Während der Abschnitt Klagenfurt – Weitzelsdorf für die Kärtner S-Bahn sogar elektrifiziert wurde hat man auf dem folgenden Teil der Strecke den Personenverkehr mangels genügendem Bedarf eingestellt. Nun folgt wegen den dort vorhandenen großen Brücken die deutliche Investitionen erforderlich machen, die Stilllegung der Strecke. DGEG wird nun einen der allerletzten Züge über die Bahn in Zusammenarbeit mit dem NBiK durchführen.=0D=0A&nbsp;=0D=0ADie Fahrt beginnt um 12:00 am Bahnhof Weitzelsdorf nach Ankunft der S-Bahn von Klagenfurt und führt bis zum Einfahrsignal des Bahnhofs Rosenbach. Gefahren wird vsl. mit einer kleinen Diesellok und einem Plattformwagen. Bei Maria Elend und Rosenbach befin­den sich zwei große Brücken die jetzt Unter­halt benötigen und nun zur Stilllegung der Bahn führen. Unterwegs werden Fotohalte stattfinden. Das Ende der Fahrt ist zwischen 14:30 und 15:00 wieder am Bahnhof Weitzelsdorf. Nach Rückkehr von Rosenbach bringt uns ein historischer Bus in das ca. 5 km entfernte Fer­lach. Hier fahren wir mit einem historischen Elektrozug zum Verkehrsmuseum Historama des NBiK. Nach der Besichtigung bringt uns der hist. Bus wieder nach Weitzels­dorf und erreicht die S-Bahn nach Klagenfurt um 18:00.=0D=0A&nbsp;=0D=0AWir können für Sie zusätzlich Hotelübernachtungen im Hotel Harry’s home am Villacher Hbf anbieten (nach Verfügbarkeit) und eine Mitfahrt mit der gleichzeitig stattfindenden Gruppenreise der DGEG ab und bis Villach Hbf mit Fahr­ausweisen des Nahverkehrs.
